Post veloce veloce per segnalare che ho aggiunto al pacchetto conky il supporto alla rete wlan (x visualizzarne le informazioni) e quello agli rssfeed ^^

Naturalemente se avete abilitato i miei repository vi verrà chiesto di aggiornarlo

Oggi mi sono imbattutto in un’insteressante post sul blog Tuxmind dal titolo “Una interessante soluzione per la sincronizzazione“, dal quale è scaturito un certo interesse per la soluzione presentata nell’ articolo.

Il protagonista è Conduit, un software in grado di sincronizzare i files presenti sul nostro pc con un secondo, con un dispositivo portatile o con la miriade di servizi presenti online utili a questo scopo.

Ad esempio:

* Synchronize your tomboy notes to a file on a remote computer
* Synchronize your emails to your mobile phone
* Synchronize your bookmarks to delicious, gmail, or even your own webserver

Naturalmente ho inserito il nuovo pacchetto fresco fresco di compilazione nel repositori “Utilità”.

Per installarlo il solito comando:

$ sudo apt-get install conduit

AlgatuxRI è un progettino personale che sto portando avanti nel tempo libero.

Si tratta nient’ altro che di uno script sh automatizzato per “l’installazione” di repository e dei programmi “più usati” dopo una reinstallazione pulita di ubuntu.

Per il momento lo script si limita a Inserire e Convalidare i repository Algatux, WineHQ, Virtualbox. Nonchè a eseguire un backup del vecchio sources.list rendendo disponibile un suo eventuale rispristino (sempre automatizzato)

N.B. chiunque voglia dare un contributo “programmativo” o anche solo un consiglio è bene accetto ^^

RISOLTO!

Grazie al suggerimento di echeleon ho trovato il modo di sistemare definitivamente il pacchetto. Non mi ero infatti accorto della differenza fra la versione 1:2.2.1 (ubuntu) e la mia 2.3.1 che ho appurtunamente modificato in 1:2.3.1-1~algatux1

Ora i i repository sono aggiornati, se li avete attivi ve ne sarete certamente accorti ^^

Buoni messaggini a tutti

Ho risolto parzialmente i problemi con pidgin. In parole povere ho disponibili un macro pacchetto contenente tutto il necessario e un mini pacchetto “doc”.

Li trovate qui:

pidgin_2.3.1_i386.deb
pidgin-doc_2.3.1_all.deb

Per installarli vi basterà scaricarli ed eseguirli.

Chi avesse già installato pidgin (versioni precedenti) deve prima disinstallarlo completamente con questo comando:

$ sudo apt-get remove –purge pidgin pidgin-data libpurple0

All’inizio ho scritto di aver parzialmente risolto i problemi di pacchettizzazione perche in questo modo il sistema (non capisco il motivo) vede le vechcie versioni come nuove, infatti l’update manager rende disponibili aggiornamenti per pidgin che in realtà sono delle regressioni.

Spero di riuscire presto a risolvere anche questo “problemino”

Grazie alla segnalazione di quarion, al quale vanno i miei saluti, sono venuto a conoscenza dell’ultimo fix alla libreria libpurple per pidgin.

in poche parole sono stati fixati alcuni bug importanti tra cui i problemi di connessione ad MSN e un secondo stranissimo (ma non meno importante) bug che implicava lutilizzo di un nik a caso preso fra i proprio contatti.

Personalmente mi èp capitato di sentirmi dire: “Ma mi stai prendendo per il culo? cambia quel nik! (del proprietario)”

oppure

“Ale ma che cavolo di nik hai? non sarai mica passato all’altra sponda ^^”

Appena possibile aggiorno i repo ^^

E’ disponibile nei miei repo la versione aggiornata di pidgin!

Alcuni utenti hanno sperimentato diversi problemi con la connesisone ad account MSN, pertanto non ne consiglio l’uso fino alla risoluzione del problema.

Ho risolto alcuni problemi con il repo che restituiva l’errore [403] Forbidden File

Gimmie è un progetto interessante, ricorda alla lontana lo slab menù ( Gnome e lo Slab Menu ), ma lavora in modo differente.

In particolare, questa applet per il pannello ( perche come ogni altro men, nient’ altro si tratta che di questo ) lavora in quattro differenti ambiti opportunamente separati in altrettanti comodi menù:

Linux, che rappresente il sistema in sè.
Rende disponibili: le cartelle primarie della home, i device, le reti e i settaggi (amministrazione e preferenze) nonchè i nostri preferiti tra tutti.

Continua”Gimmie, l’ennesimo menù … forse ci siamo”

Questa mattina ho apportato una modifica ed un’ aggiunta al repository.

• Sostituito il pacchetto di envy-0.9.9-ubuntu1 con la versione da me pacchettizata.
• Aggiunto il pacchetto gimmie-0.2.8 .

li trovate entrambi nel repository dedicato alla “grafica”.

Ci sentiamo presto per una recensione del nuovo pacchetto.

AMD annuncia i nuovi drivers e subito Alberto Milone risponde. Ebbene si! E’ disponibile la nuova versione del tool di installazione automatica dei drivers AMD(Ati)/NVIDIA.

Changelog:

• Aggiunti i nuovi Ati Catalyst 7.11 per linux! e i nuovi ID delle schede di nuova uscita.
• Rimossi i vecchi driver 8.42.3 (ninent’ altro che la versione sperimentale di questi ultimi)
• Risolti i conflitti di nvidia-settings in gutsy
• Fixato il bug “KDM could not be detected in main.xserverstart() and main.dm_stop()”

AL più presto provvederò ad aggiornare il repo, ora il mio tasso alcolico non me lo permette ^^
